About

Built around responsibility, not hand-offs.

Stridehelm is a product engineering studio for teams that want a capable partner to own the work required to move a clear idea into production. We work across rapid web launches, web applications, mobile products and ongoing engineering.

What we believe

Our operating belief is simple: speed is valuable when it comes from focus, planning and strong execution — not from skipped thinking. A project that moves fast because the scope is clear and the architecture is settled is a good project. A project that moves fast because nobody asked the hard questions is a problem arriving later.

Most of what goes wrong in software delivery is not technical. It is a promise made before it was understood, a change absorbed without being assessed, or a problem noticed early and mentioned late. The way we work is built to make those three things harder to do.

Remote-first, working with teams internationally. We are deliberate about what we claim: this site will not tell you how many people we are, how many projects we have shipped or which logos we can borrow. It will tell you exactly how we work, and you can hold us to that.

Values

How we operate

Own the outcome
The result is our responsibility, not a set of tickets we closed. If something between the brief and production is unowned, it is ours.
Plan before promising
We would rather give a date later and hold it than give one immediately and renegotiate it.
Communicate early
Bad news does not improve with age. Risks surface when we find them, not when they become unavoidable.
Protect quality
Speed comes from focus and planning, not from skipping verification. We will not ship work we know is broken to hit a date.
Build for maintainability
Someone will change this code later, possibly not us. It should be safe for them to do so.
Keep the client experience simple
One team, one budget, one point of contact. Coordinating specialists is our job, not yours.

Scope of ownership

What “full ownership” actually means

It is a specific claim, so here is the specific list.

  1. 01

    Product planning

Goals, scope, priorities, user flows and the delivery roadmap.

  2. 02

    UI/UX

Wireframes, interface design, responsive behaviour and the design system.

  3. 03

    Architecture

Data model, APIs, infrastructure, security and integrations.

  4. 04

    Development

Frontend, backend, mobile and the integrations between them.

  5. 05

    QA

Functional, responsive, performance and accessibility checks before release.

  6. 06

    Deployment

Production environment, CI/CD, domains, monitoring and release.

  7. 07

    Post-launch improvement

Bug fixing, maintenance and the next round of work when it is part of the engagement.

And what it does not mean

We do not own your legal or regulatory compliance, your cloud and third-party bills, your business strategy, your ongoing content production, or third-party approval delays such as app store review. Naming the boundary is what keeps the rest of the promise credible.

Have a clear product idea?

Tell us who it is for, what it needs to solve and what the first version must achieve. We will help determine the right engagement before committing to the build.
